Final Sanshou ranking event of the year - Oct 6th

    Dear coaches and competitors,

    I hope you are well and your clubs are going from strength to strength. The ICBA are running the final Sanshou Open on the 6th of October 2013. I know your fighters have been training hard in order to qualify and place as high in the rankings for the upcoming National Championship. We look forward to seeing them perform with courage and skill again.

    The quarter and semi finals of the National Championship will be held on Sunday the 17th of November, with the Finals held as a fight night on the 1st of December!

    Last year the ICBA commissioned a number of National Championship Belts and in our 1st year running our opens under a structured ranking and qualification procedure we awarded two titles belts to Marc O Neill (-85kg) and Jennifer Durnin (-65kg).

    They currently hold the titles but these belts and all the division below are up for grabs. Your fighters and all who have competed at our events throughout 2013 will qualify for the Championships this year.

    Our final ranking event of 2013 is the last chance to earn ranking points and take a place and compete for the National Sanshou title.

    Champions , along with their coaches will train as part of the ICBA development squad in 2014 and will have the opportunity to travel with the squad abroad for competition and a summer training camp.

    We hope to see you all at our Autumn Open on Sunday the 6th of October at Santry Hall Arena, Swords Rd, Dublin 9.

    Attached is full details of the event, rules etc and please do not hesitate to forward the email and posters to all of your fighters and indeed to anybody else who might be interested in getting involved.
