Sky acting the maggot?

I'm posting this on behalf of my father as he is computer illiterate :D

Anyway a few days ago Sky called him up to offer him an 'Insurance package' on his Skybox, 5e a month.

    He politely declined.

It's a few days now and the box is suddenly acting very strange, not pausing, not recording, jumping between channels. It's obviously very fishy and he's rightly quite annoyed.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

Seems fine to me, changed the batteries, reset etc.

So not Sky "acting the maggot" after all.

In fact it probably was not Sky offering the insurance package either. That is a well known scam.

    Lots of info here

The Conspiracy Theories board might be able to help you.

Keep your doors locked if you think Sky are breaking in and messing up your box.

As always, if your Skybox shows problems the first course of action is to reboot by disconnecting the power.

Have you tried to reset the box?

Simply unplug it from the back and leave it off for about 60 Seconds, then plug it back in.
