Tarot reading is a tough skill to learn, and it really does take a lot of practice to be any good. Honestly, I'd love to learn more about it - if I ever find the spare time.

Nobody in this thread has claimed that they can.

When a comedian tells a joke, it doesn't matter if it is true. It's just supposed to be entertaining.

When a magician makes a coin 'disappear', it didn't *really* disappear. It's just a trick....but if it is entertaining, I'll watch.

A whole subclass of 'magic' deals with 'mental tricks' and mind-reading. It takes a lot of practice to do well, but it can be very entertaining.

Most people who go to tarot readers are not doing it for entertainment. The comedians or Derren Brown's etc. selling tickets are not attempting to extort money from sad / lonely / mentally challenged individuals by insisting they are telling the truth in their acts.
