So, which hand do you predominantly use for writing and such? Are you a common as muck right handed person, or a not-to-be-trusted leftie?

I write with my left hand, but strangle kittens with my right. Mad.

I'm right handed but write with my left the same way lefties write.

Found a left handed pen in a shop the other day and fell in love with it.

    I wish. That closed down.

It had a curve at the bottom where my index finger goes and just fit perfectly. It was like a good vagina, just felt right and I got that warm fuzzy feeling

I do that too - probably because my original teacher didn't know how to teach leftie and my guitar was stringed up for a rightie

My sister does that too. She takes up so much space when she's writing.

    I'm a righty!

You're better off, easier to pick up a guitar anywhere you go if you play right handed!

I learned on a right handed one for a good while but when I got my own guitar I strung it left. Best of both worlds though there used to be disorienting moments at times in the middle of playing on a rightie at a party or what not :pac:

Proud leftie, and I have the ink smudges on my hand to prove it.

Left handed myself , the Latin for.left haned is sinister apparently, dunno why.

Though I do use my right foot for.kicking old people and my right hand for punching
    babies.

I knew a leftie who just turned his right handed brother's guitar upside down. Needless to say he wasn't very successful.

In china like here not so long ago left handed people are forced to write and eat with their right hand. It's because in China they always use their right hand for eating and their left hand for wiping their arse strange but true.

Right-handed, left-eyed. I might be very good, or very bad, at archery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,688 ✭✭✭✭mickdw

    Left handed. left footed.
I love snooker and im always amazed that there are generally about 50 percent of players in the club left handed. A large portion of pro players are left handed too. Strange considering the low percentage of lefties in the general population.

I usually use toilet paper or sometimes baby wipes if things get a little mental in the bathroom. Those Chinese are a bit weird for using their hands don't you think? :pac:

This question's been asked plenty of times here, and there always seems to be a far higher percentage of lefties here than you'd expect.

    Leftie and proud!

    Right handed writing

    Left handed golf

Two footed, but that's down to practice. Naturally right but way more accurate now on left, get more distance on right

totally lefty at everything like writing, football, soccer, hurling, shooting but just cant text with my left, have to use my seemingly useless right at everything for that!!

    Left handed
    Left handed people:

When you tick something, do you do it from right to left? As in down and to the top left as opposed to down and to the top right.

It's a serious question, I know one person who does it. Others say it might be easier but they don't do it.

Most of the left handed people I know use a right handed guitar. Like whoopsy said, you're better off. It's much easier to pick up a guitar somewhere if you play right handed. And because most people go for the right handed one, I think left handed guitars are more expensive too?

Or turn a right handed guitar upside down, reverse the strings and pull a Jimi Hendrix on that motherfucka :pac:

I know a lad who was sold a right handed guitar but was told, it was left handed because all the finger work was done with the left hand. He never knew at all until I mentioned it was weird when I saw him with a right handed guitar, as I had taken the piss out of him being a leftie for a few months beforehand.

They tend to be because there'd be less demand for'em.

As cool as that is, I find it very annoying when other people try to imitate it. One girl in college played a right handed acoustic upside, but never restrung it or modified the tuning or fingering to compensate. A music teacher came along and commented that it sounded weird. I was like, yeah... it's because what she's doing is basically gibberish.

Left handed for writing but I raised 2 boys singlehandedly with my right (that was the hand I kept the wooden spoon in).

Left handed for everything, but when I first started using computers, the mouse cable wouldn't stretch to the left of the computer, so had to use my right hand. Still use right hand to control mouse now...

I am right handed but do use my left for a tug o war with the cyclops - Mates think thats very strange!!!

End the oppression against us lefties. We want proper desks, writing pads without binders, ink blob proof paper, left handed pens etc.........and we want them now!

OR our academically proven superior intellect shall be used to take over the world.

    You have been warned.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,910 ✭✭✭OneArt

Mostly use my right hand because I was told to as a kid. I'm properly ambidextrous, though I don't use it often I can still write and draw perfectly well with my left. My parents and teachers were exhausted trying to stop me from switching hands when I wrote.

    So yeah, I'm a uniflake.

    Or a snowcorn.

    Or whatever the fnck.
