I want to buy my elderly dad an ipad. Thing is, he has no phone line just his mobile phone. Is there such thing as pre pay sim/monthly for an ipad?

You could buy a 3G version with built in modem or go to Vodafone, 3, O2 or Meteor and buy a modem stick with a 3G wi-fi router. You can get a pay-as-you-go modem and a router would cost about €40,

Not sure what Eircom may have to offer in 4G or if you are in the service area for that but take a look there too.
