Connecting Laptop to Desktop monitor

    Hi all,
I have a laptop and a desktop PC. However, I have a program that I can only use on my laptop (licensing issues). My laptop screen is rather small whereas my desktop monitor is 26''. Therefore I would like to connect my laptop to my desktop's monitor. I realise I could disconnect the cable running from my monitor to my desktop and hook it up with my laptop, but is there a quicker way of doing this without having pull out my desktop each time? A sort of 'double adaptor' for monitor cables?
    Thanks
