Gravel driveway construction

Last major part of our rebuild is laying down the stone for the driveway.

Large enough area, about 500 square meters.

804 was put down about 12 months ago. It's wasn't rolled but has settled mostly. However there was also some other larger round gravel and loose stone that is sitting on top of the 804.

    My plan at the moment:

    1. Using 120 roller, roll the entire area.
    2. Spread out and level gravel (2 inch stone).
    3. Roll gravel.

I've spayed with Roundup however I'm not putting down a weed barrier.

Am I missing anything or doing anything wrong?

Should I put some binding down between the 804 and the top layer of gravel?

    All advice would be welcome.

Yes level & compact ground solid with roller add more 804 where it's needed compact again then lay a sand or quarry dust approx 25mm / 1 inch compacted with roller & wacker plate around the edges then lay a layer of gravel not to heavy as you will find it hard to walk/ drive on it
