Big test for my Pats D this week. But if they can build on this season performances and the offense improves on last week, then they should do it. Could be tight though. A few tough calls to make this week, but feck it, you can't stay on the fence.

Huge game for New England alright, especially as the Dolphins beat Atlanta in what is probably the toughest tie the AFC East (as a whole) will face this season. I gotta go with Atlanta though. The Pats looked a bit more like themselves last week, but it was just the Bucs. Atlanta are a different beast.
Would love the Jets, Saints and Cowboys to win, for the sake of the Wild Card, but I just don't see it.

Also I picked against my Colts last week. For shame. Won't be doing that again this season.

Safe to say that Seattle's running game clashing with Houston's run defence will leave a few charred corpses in its wake.

Rams to send the 49ers to 1-3 this week IMO. Never thought I'd be even considering saying that would be their record after four games before the season started and especially not after what they did in week one.

I think the Dolphins could do the Saints also to move to 4-0, +6 points is generous for sure.

Those would be the two big surprises I suppose.

Did you pick the Colts to beat the 9ers? Holy sh!t, fair play dude. Even I didn't call that.

I was in a world of pessimism after the fins game. But still...

Since Australia has 3 times zones passing through it, you will obviously need to know what time zone your are living in before anyone can answer that.

    6FueTm.gif

So depending on your location in Australia. You just add 8, 9 or 10 hours to the times that are listed in the schedule.

We don't use BST here since we are not British. We use DST and DST changes here on the 27th of October next. I would imagine if you are looking at a 1.25am BST listing over there, then that is your reference time since we are still using DST/BST summer time here. We are operating 1 hour ahead of GMT since the 31st of March last and will do so until DST ends on the 27th of October next. I have no idea where you are getting your programme listing from. But listing a programme in GMT which we are not using atm, is totally illogical since we are still operating in DST/BST time. Long story short, use the BST time listing you were given as your reference point.

If's a challenge is won then they keep the timeout so maybe thats why but I'm just guessing

But it wasn't a challenge as it was inside 2 mins so it was a booth review, maybe the review means they can have another TO.

EDIT: Maybe first TO didn't count as booth review happened at the same time

It wasn't a challenge, it was a review because it was inside 2. I'm guessing they stopped the play for the review before the Rams where charged with a timeout.

Bradford has been really disappointing tonight. Have read conflicting reviews on his progress so far this season but based on what I've seen tonight, it doesn't look promising for the Rams.

Gore has 16pts for anyone with him in fantasy football, another half like that and he will win the week for some teams.

After a fair catch you can attempt a field goal style kick.

The defence aren't allowed block it, which obviously makes it a bit easier for the kicking team.

Rarely happens because most punts leave the ball outside of FG range, and secondly if you have any time at all on the clock you'll try and get a few extra yards.

In the situation in this game, Rams punted, 49ers called a Fair Catch so because they felt like they couldn't get a TD, get in position for a FG they'd attemtp the Free Kick in an attempt to score 3 points. Their kicker's best FG was 56 yards but as you can see from kickoffs Kickers get a hell of a lot more leg into kicks when they don't have anyone trying to block it so it was worth a crack from 70 yards.

    Fair Catch Kick

Anytime a team calls a fair catch when receiving a punt they can choose to call a free kick. Obviously the only scenario a team would elect to do so would be with seconds to go in a half and little chance to move the ball in the traditional sense.
Very rare and only my second time seeing one attempted in my 6 years watching the sport closely. Both were a shot to nothing and not even close.

    Christ wikipedia is fast!

The most recent attempt was by Phil Dawson of the San Francisco 49ers on September 26th, 2013 and was only the 3rd 70+ yard attempt in NFL history.
