"My libido has never been very high, so we generally only make love once a month, if even that. He long ago stopped asking for it, I suppose to avoid bad feeling"

What did she expect? Probably not a contender for a nobel prize with her level of intelligence.

Once a bloody month?? She's having a laugh!!!!

Did she not wonder why he stopped asking for the ride

Do ya know what that woman needs....a good hard Roide!

I'd hate to be living in such an oppressed household that I was only able to do it once a day!

Anyone else having trouble getting it up?

The link I mean, it won't load all the way for me.

Got to be a wind-up. Or is it?

Do we still have mad catholics here that believe in this?

I'm not so sure. Could be!

Why doesn't she go all the way, pun intended, and get twin beds to replace the marital bed:D

-What are all these jars of festering white stuff under the bed?
-The priest said its a sin to waste it, so I've been saving all year.

Presumably the poor gob****e that hasn't left must be Catholic too if he hasn't left her by now.

    Disgusting woman.

This sounds very like the beginning of Taboo with Kay Parker.

In the next scene she goes to have her nails done and her best friend advises her to shag her son, it being the only thing that will stop him masturbating.

Never seen it myself you understand, just word of mouth. Would never dream of viewing such filth.

Subjects like this show up in PI from time to time. It really is surprising how some people are still raised to be ashamed of their own bodies and sexuality.

I feel sorry for this woman. She's obviously had some sort of horrifically repressed upbringing and has never fulfilled her own potential or enjoyed her own body or that of her husband. She doesn't even seem to realise how wrong her position is. Something (Catholicism?) and/or somebody (family?) has screwed with her head in ways that she and her family will pay for for the rest of her life.

I think I stumbled in there a few weeks ago from the main page, regarding the "moral travesty" that a cake shop had been put out of business from a lawsuit after refusing to serve a gay couple, with some chap bragging throughout about how he likes to discriminate against all non-straight, non-white, and non-Christians while getting offended to ALL HIGH HELL when he got called a bigot . Sadly I'm bored right now. Tempted to take another peek... :pac:

Why I never got also it that huge, huge parts of South America are Catholics... and all they seem to ever be doing is hammering the life out of each other. I think they've found the balance!

Yep, I knew a guy whose long-term girlfriend considered lad's mags to be a form of cheating. Not porn like, but FHM, Maxim, etc.
Both were in their early twenties. Thankfully for him, he did drop her a couple of years later and married a woman who presumably isn't as horribly insecure.

So there would be loads of women out there who think that a man having a hand shandy using just his imagination is "cheating" on her emotionally, or somesuch bollox.

"whereas sexuality should be about the deepest and most intimate connection between two people expressing their love for each other."

Lulz. I can imagine the deep heartfelt love alright when you're balls deep in some woman you met in coppers.

"I’ve moved out to the spare room as a result."

What in the the ever loving ****....

Like, wtf? Seriously woman. Let the man have a **** in peace. Just because you're not interested in sex doesn't mean he shouldn't be.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,112 ✭✭✭Blowfish

It's interesting how she manages to describe sex being the most intimate connection between two people in love and yet only actually wants to express that once a month, if that.

    Exactly!

She describes it as and amazing experience but sees no problem denying the man she loves (and herself) it more than once a month.

I see it as just as bad a betrayal as an affair.
How can I get him to see some sense, understand my feelings, and stop what he’s doing?

This smacks of a wind-up in the Daily Mail/Samantha Brick style.

I'm a happy Catholic and think that, especially within a marriage, anything goes...knock yourselves out! Once both parties are happy - clearly neither party is happy in this set-up.
