I attach 2 x pictures of my Ford Ka. Whilst I knew I had a rust problem at this spot - some decided to test it out and poke a hole right thru it!!

I never done a rust repair before so -so would appreciate any help on a DIY job here.

What Tools, Filler, type of sandpaper do I need. Any good video on how to do it???

Wow that's pretty bad rust there alright.
Is it just that one place?

There is two ways to go, try to fix the rust or replace the panel.
To fix it the procedure is pretty much always the same: cut away the rust and fill with something, then paint.
Since that panel is part of a much larger panel you will have to try to fix it while in situ.

This is an instruction of one way to do it, others may have better suggestions

    Ya.... just there!!

Wouldn't mind but got thru NCT last week - some Break Cable cable fails which now fixed and booked to do re-test next Monday. And then someone pokes at the rust..... I presume it could be a fail if the NCT spots it EVEN on a retest ???

    Good link .......

Fill the hole with paper and stick duct tape over it for now.
This will keep rain out and if there are no sharp edges NCT will pass it (no promises as it could be deemed structural).
