Gaggia steam thermostat

    Hi all,

I have a Gaggia espresso color at home, about 18 months old and has been running fine up to now. Now though I have a problem with the steamer - when I press the button to turn on the steamer, nothing happens. Usually the 'ready' light turns off as the machine heats up to steam temp, but now that doesn't happen - the light just stays on. Have done a bit of googling and the best bet seems to be that the steam thermostat has failed - does this sound reasonable?

That being the case, can anyone recommend a place to get a replacement thermostat? Have found several on ebay etc but they all seem to be screw in thermostats, whereas the espresso colour has a stick on thermostat. Any suggestions welcome!
