How do these compare to Quikpark who Iusually use for speed of access to airport? I know there's one car park in particular thats ages away.

Red is very close (right opposite where the Quickpark bus swings left into the airport), Blue's a bit more of a schlep.

I generally prefer Quickpark for a few reasons, but if you can nab the DAA Red at the discounted rate, it's certainly worth doing.

yeah the red is closer to the airport entrance, Id only bother with blue if your going for a week or more... how long would it take to walk from red car park to terminal 1?

    You dont.
The bus will drop you to T1.
    Takes about 5 - 7 mins.

Ten minutes from the entrance, fast pace, light bag.

Its often quicker than bus off peak times.

Yeah free bus, they come every 15 minutes and it takes an extra five minutes to get the terminal.

I find the blue one fine. Have used it and Quickpark before and there isnt much difference in the distance from the terminals. Blue is a little further away but its no biggie.

Usually use Quickpark but couldn't ignore this. 4 days October bank holiday weekend for €16. Thanks OP.

Cheers OP, got a week in Oct for Red for less than what blue was going to cost us.

Off topic a little but can anyone recommend the best area of red to park at for access in and out and proximity of shuttle buses ?

We will have 2 small ones with us and we fly home late so don't want to be trekking around when we get home

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,233 ✭✭✭Greg81

Great deal. Thank you OP. Just booked RED one for 2 days.

they normally have only one area where you can park, last Saturday area Z was open, almost as far as the blue car park :-(

Indeed, you can't pick which area but keep driving until the designated place is open. Surprised Z was open because its quieter in the whole car park.
I find the worst is parking far up and realising that you must drag the case through gravel until you get to some hard surface
