birthcert name change

A mate of mine has 3kids to his x bird but none of the kids has his name or even has his name on the birth cert. Over the years they have been off and on in this relationship, he was working, she was on benefits and while he did sort of give money for the kids once and awhile, she mostly raised these kids on benefits. They have been talking about getting together again but he wants the kids name changed to his and named changed on the certs but hes also worried that if he does, then he will have to pay up x amount of the benefits she recieved all them years.

Does anyone know will he be shooting himself in the foot and will get hit with a big bill after the names are changed. Ive told him hes nuts because i know in 6months, theyll be broke up again because shes a header.

How much is it to get the names changed and what about going to the chruch anddl getting it changed there also where they got chrisend

Told him this but just laughes. Thats a whole different thread on its own anyway so not here for ranting about this but i agree wity you.

You'll only get sympathy on AH if his burd becomes a lesbian, he becomes a member of a minority group and the kids are all somehow from a different country.

So, he's narcissistic enough that he wants them to have his name because they're "His" kids, but too much of a scumbag to actually pay for their upbringing. I hope he gets caught and made pay.

I hope the mother was declaring the money he gave her for tax purposes.

I've been supporting those children through my taxes, so instead of the deadbeat dads name they should be given mine

Best to leave as is and save himself some money. Many years down the road he'll be lying all alone in his nursing home bed with nobody to hold his hand as drifts away. Fearful. Alone.
