If I am at the bus stop outside the Morgue pub for 7:45am and get on whatever bus comes first should I make it into College Green for 8:30am?

    Long time no see!

Yes, you should make it, but any later and it would be difficult. Getting the 49 should be quicker than the other buses (15, 65, 65b). There should be a 49 at about 0734 and 0749 that should arrive in at 0801 and 0816. However, you should expect to be playing roulette at Terenure and you should allow some time for shenanigans.

Check RTPI in the morning to see what time the buses are making along the route.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Say you were there for 7:45am and 65 came, would you purposely not get the 65 to try and catch the 49 - is it that much faster? Say you did get the 65, what time would it usually get to College Green? Are there other buses passing that go there also?

If I can get into town for 8:16, or even 8:30, it gives me enough time to get where I need to and then some :)

Being honest about it - I would get a bus at around 07:30 to be safe - just get on the first bus that appears.

Terenure is the main pinch point and that affects all routes.
