Road tyres in a cheap MTB

    Hi all :)

6 years ago I bought the cheapest MTB in the shop (€150 at that time) just to start doing some exercise...as you are guessing I have not used it since then lol. The problem is that now the tyres are completely cracked and the tread is almost gone in one of them. I was thinking that it would be a good idea to change the current tyres to slick tyres. Is it really a good idea or I am not going to notice any difference. Any 26 X 1.95 is going to fit to my current wheels?

The budget is very tight so I was thinking about getting this ones

Are they ok for a moderate use or they are a waste of money? :)

Sorry for so many questions but I don't any idea about bikes :)

    Thanks in advance!!
