Is there a major difference between 1440P and 1080P

    Is there a major difference between these setups graphics wise or would you not really notice a difference. Considering getting a second 760 and 1440P monitor and wondering is it really worth it?

    It's as big as going from 720p to 1080p so yes it's pretty big. You're doubling the pixels. If you want a bigger screen but want to keep the same pixel density (pixels per inch) then 1440p is the way to go. A 27" 1440p screen has about the same pixel density of a 20" 1080p screen but is nearly twice the size.

    The combination of size and slightly higher pixel density gives a much more vivid picture. The higher res also makes Aliasing less of a problem. You can get away with no or low AA for most games. 2xAA should be enough for a jaggy free experience.

    I currently have a 22 inch IPS monitor, is 27 inch nearly too big?

    Yes, BloodBath pretty much summed it up, it is totally worth it imo.
    Pictures, videos, games etc just look fantastic.

    Productivity-wise the extra resolution definitely helps too.
    I ditched a 2 x 24" dual-monitor set-up and I just run one Yamakasi 27" now.
    (It's stand is terrible btw, but I have mine wall mounted)
    Check out the Yamakasi Monitor thread for discussion about it and other 1440p monitors;

    The flavour lately seems to be the QNIX monitor (same as Yamakasi but better stand... and cheaper :) )
    You can expect to pay about €270 for it, and about €60 import duty too.

    It's totally worth it. Much nicer than 2 or 3-way 1080p monitors with all the bezels and cabling.

    I'm running a Dell 2713HM with just a single gtx 670. Framerates are well over 60 fps for most games with max settings, except for the usual suspects (Crysis, Metro, those types).

    Someone selling a 2713HM right now on adverts:

    If you're a hardcore MMO player 27" may be too big. For every other application I adore my Yamakasi. For MMOs I just have to move things around a bit.
