I've found argos to be a good place to buy technology. They are normally very good with price and have good after sales service, I've never had a problem returning anything.

Do you have a good idea of what you want? For that price you might be able to get a windows tablet, which has the benefit of being able to run pc programmes. If you just want it for internet only, then you could get a fairly high end android device. The new nexus 10 is due out shortly which should be quite good and likely to be around that price. Different shops/sites will have different deals, eg littlewoods is usually nearly twice the price of other places, but sometimes will be the cheapest for a particular item. You are better off to pick out the device you want, then do a google search to see what Irish shops stock it. Also check out amazon.co.uk where may items have free shipping to Ireland.

And if they don't there's always Parcel Motel :)

    This too shall pass.

What do you want to do with your tablet? Most important question.
