Primary School in Celbridge

I grew up in Celbridge and will be relocating back there with my two young children from the U.S. during the summer next year. We will be living in the hazel hatch area and we are interested in hearing about people's experiences with St. Patrick's school on the Hazelhatch road. I went to the girls school in the Main Street but I would prefer a mixed school so I can send both my kids to the same place. My daughter will be starting school September 2014.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Have a child in 1st class absolutely no complaints great school, the class sizes are probably a little below national average which is good too.
You might get more replies if you post in Kildare forum

Hi I also looking at sending my girl to st. Patricks next September as i live in the hazelhatch area. I would be grateful if I could get some feedback on the school. Is it very multi national and does this affect the kids learning?

my daughter has started there this year. Seems like a very good school. The major plus part for us is that its brand spanking new (although its currently a prefab'd school).

the principal seems to be very open and friendly...she comes out everyday to say goodbye to the kids as they are going home -she knows nearly all of them by name!!!

The school send home weekly newsletters.

In addition there are plans in place to build a primary/secondary campus between the GAA club and the train station. Both are to be mixed and from talking with the principal of the primary school, are due to be complete by 2015 (so should be starting work on it anyday now!).

I'd imagine that the secondary school will be finished first (as there is none at present there) and the primary will be built afterwards.
