Officers took possession of the cash and lodged it in an account in the Camden Street branch of AIB as a temporary measure

I'm sure the money will just rest in the account.

At lest the guards didn't put the money in the "safe" in the station

    Title is misleading.
More of an interesting story than a great story.

Now if the Plumber fcuked off with the money and there was an IRA hitman after him,it would be a great story.

After Hours Tradesmen : Do you trust them?

Plumbers , ruining good threads wherever they go.

I have ways found plumbers to be the most unreliable, dishonest, laziest and devious shower of bastards on the planet. Even when you get one on a recommendation they will try something on or hide a mess which should be fixed.

After learning from hard experience I never pay any tradesman in full until I'm completely satisfied the job is finished to the standard promised when I took them on. Holding back half the money is the only way to get something done properly in this country. It really saddens me sometimes that everyone in Ireland is always on the lookout for the short cut or easy route and there's little pride taken in doing anything correctly.

    You cant trust tradesmen.
My parents house has had quite a few jobs on it over the years and whilst some of the tradesmen did good jobs, sadly the majority didnt. You just don't know what the quality of work will be like and all too often when you realise it's a bad job it's too late ....

Besides you can't trust people you dont know in your house. My girlfriend's Aunt had €50 euro taken from her last year. Same thing, only realised when too late.

But the biggest one for me was my brother's neighbour. Someone tried to break into her house twice in a short period of time. Luckily she was home both times and they ran off once the lights went on. But me, my brother and her were chatting after it happened and we all said it was a bit of a 'coincidence' - that being she had just spent thousands through various tradesmen with work on her home previous to the attempted break-in.
I know you could say that's just a local scumbag eyeing things up. But she said she had loads of tradesmen in doing minor jobs. Getting a first hand look and what she had.

It will probably be made into a movie starring Brendan Gleeson and Niall Toibin.........

I'd say the guards were involved in the first instance who in turn contacted NAMA, If not I'd assume NAMA contacted the Guards.

    Would you concur?
