    Had it saved from last year :)

    The Disadvantaged Areas Scheme provides for payment as follows,up to an overall payment ceiling of 34 forage hectares:
    Less Severely Handicapped Lowland and Coastal Areas with Specific Handicaps:€82.27 per forage hectare;
    More Severely Handicapped Lowland: €95.99 per forage hectare;
    Mountain Type Grazing: €109.71 on first 10 forage hectares or part thereofand €95.99 per hectare on remaining forage hectares.

    Areas of natural constraint is the new name isn't it, or does that only come in in 2015?

    As a forced to be understocked farmer I would be happy if Simon would pull his finger out and have Ag automatically recognise that I qualify for DAS through being in AEOS. Seeing as Ag already have all of this information I see no good reason where I and others are forced to jump through hoops and wait for payment when Ag already knows this information.

    March or April was when my DAS came last (this) year.

    There were changes last year, you get the full amount if you have sheep this year.
    A bit less if not.

    The max payment area was reduced to 30 ha a couple of years ago. Its due this week for those who had the required stocking density from the start oof the year. If you bought cattle or sheep in the spring to meet the stocking density, you will be paid when you can show you had them for 7 consecutive months.

    Part time farmer here. Farm account well over drawn with past two months. Trying to increase suckler cow numbers is bad for cash flow.
    Of course DAS is not in this morning.
