Hi my husband is currently unemployed and getting the full amount of Jobseekers Allowance, including for myself and daughter who is at school.

There is the possibility of part time work for three days but quite significant petrol expense, so not sure if we will be worse off:(

Is there a calculator online where I can work it out? Have searched but not found anything.

Take the gross income from the job subtract 60€,get 60% of the remainder this will be your means from the job.subtract the means from your welfare payment.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
