Tint windows and visor, hid kit , vmr Boston style alloys.

    I'm old.

Leather seats, sensible alloys, a good stereo and keep it waxed and polished.

It's not a car that will take well to anything more than that.

+1, and please don't put a visor on it. They look ridiculous on any car

Sell it and buy a car that wasn't designed for a 70yr old man with a bad back.

No need to make fun of their new car. If you can't post nice, or genuinely helpful then don't post :)

Ignore what I said mightn't be that great after all. But nice alloys and can't help but suggest hid kit.

IMO the standard ride height looks ridiculous so I would be putting lowering springs on the top of the list followed by larger but still Toyota wheels. I'm trying to find a picture of a nice lowered one but all I can find are ones dropped on their hole. I'll keep looking :)

    What spec did you get?

It's luna spec, don't get me wrong I love the car I just feel like my father in it sometimes.

I bought mine new in 2007 and have no regrets. I might not look like the coolest kid in town, but the mileage is second only to the hybrids and it has given me zero troubles. I do the designated service whenever the time comes and nothing else after that.
I have colleagues who spent twice as I did for Volvos and BMWs and they all have had to go back in the dealer for a variety of issues.

To go back to your question, if you use it for work, invest in comfort (bluetooth, embedded screen with GPS and maybe even Android, a nice sound system). Don't worry too much about pimping it on the outside, as the more you put on a car like this, the worse it will look.

Do any more than alloys and you'll only draw attention from gardai.

I used to get away with murder in a polo saloon as it doesn't look the type

Is a saloon corolla, as long as it doesn't have blacked out Windows and a huge visor, I doubt they'll be having much trouble with the guards.

+1,great advice. As Jim said some alloys (maybe a light tint), then just make it the best you can on the inside. Nice head unit and a good parrot kit or a good head unit with all that built in, makes a huge difference if it's a car you'll be spending any sort of time in

Please please please if you have any dignity dont put one of them shark fin ariels on the roof....they look especially silly on corolla's/ avensis/ almeras etc. Looks wise it may benefit from a subtle drop but not decked to the ground either, that'll just look downright silly also. Might benefit from some Toyota alloys and toyota fog light jewellery if not already fitted.

Not entirely sure if you can do much to the engines of them...probably wouldn't be the best idea anyway...

I had a corolla strata in 07 with genuine lowering springs. Made a big difference to the looks.

The key to modifying something like a corolla is to keep it looking as factory as possible so no stickers, stupid chrome, or anything that looks out of place.

If it was me I'd get...

    LED number plate bulbs
    Lowering springs
    Lip spoiler , like this
Lamin-x film for putting a slight tint on the headlights

    Not chrome A pillar trims
    Not HIDs
    Not sunvisors
    Not stickers
    Not wind deflectors
    Not nurburgring sticker

Have a look at TTE parts they changed the name recently but there like the European version of TRD.

Think they changed name 5 years ago to Toyota Motorsport, think it was something to do with F1

Did ye see the new corolla ?
    It looks great.
    I have an 07 d4d corolla 256000 km up.
The only problem It had was the soft gearbox, had to get a reconditioned one at 225000 k

I've seen it. I don't think it looks good at all tbh. Also the quality of Toyota has nose dived over the past 6 years Imo.
