Moving from Jobseekers benefit to Allowance

My Jobseekers Benefit is ending soon and Social Welfare has told me that I will lose out one day during the change over as Benefit and Allowance run from different days and there is a crossover of a day. I asked would I be paid this money the following week and was informed that they cannot pay this out. Their excuse is that the computer thinks that I have been paid this money. Has anybody else come across this?

I can't remember exactly, because it took them 6 months to actually start paying me JSA, (regardless of the fact they promise me a payment next week) and another 3 to repay me everything they owe me because they've wrongly assessed my means

Jesus 6 months!! How would you live for 6 months without money! Nothing surprises me with Social Welfare - they stopped my payment 2 weeks ago without notice - went to pick up my money on the Friday and nothing in Post Office - had no money all weekend. Monday I went to local office and they said I was cut off because I had not sent back the letter about my Jobseekers Allowance with Bank Statements. Told them it had been sent back 2 weeks beforehand by Reg. Post - the incompetent staff member who signed for it never logged it in and I had to suffer for it. My Benefit does not finish until next week. - God I hate being unemployed - they make you feel it is their money they are giving you:mad:
