PS3 40G - no room

    Hi there,

I only play one game (Battlefield 3) and that is massive running at 12g. My son plays some games meaning we might have a few saved also but all are of average size.

When BF4 comes I don't think I will have enough room on my PS3 which makes little sense as my poor maths would suggest, 40g less 12g = 28g whereas I have literally none left.

Anyway of checking what is using up the space so I can delete whatever off?

The 40GB system has just under 37GB space after the OS.You need to check stuff like the game data utility, probably some patches/DLC etc,etc using lots of the space. Also if you have Home installed, that takes up a huge chunk of space. There could also be corrupt download files hidden on the system, these can
be sometimes eliminated by rebuilding the database in safe mode.

    Hi & thanks.

Is there anyway of seeing what is using up the capacity before deleting some of the other games in the system which I am reluctant to do so.

It is kinda crap that I might in theory only be able to play two games on the machine... BF3 and BF4 due to their size.

Buy a bigger hard drive. Problem solved, also they have gone quite cheap lately.
