Single farm payment - Overclaim

Im alittle confused by how this system is operated.
I made a change to an incorrect boundary on my uncles farms maps when completing the grant forms in may. Very minor area but he wanted it right. Marked up the photo showing true boundary, sent land registry map and aerial photo to show that true boundary was where we marked.
We adjusted the land area to suit on the form.
It has come back as an overclaim which from reading the letter is fairly standard when the new claimed area is larger than the previously recorded reference area.
I rang them this morning and the woman made me no wiser.
They have actually shown the corrected map on one they sent back but they are still keeping the original area.
We will possibly just let it go as it seems they automatically process payment on the old figures if you dont reply to the overclaim.

What supporting info would we need to submit if we do go ahead? Would a professional electronic survey of the area be suitable?
