Join the IQO for a full day of quizzing action, our first event outside the Pale, and in a location almost bang in the middle of the island, to give all an equal chance to attend.

We’ll start with a 240-question (in six categories) individual written quiz in the morning. The same quiz is also being sat in the UK, Germany, Belgium and Estonia, so entrants will be able to see how they rank against some of Europe's top quiz brains.

In the afternoon we’ll do the regular monthly "Hot 100" 100-question individual written quiz, which is used to calculate the Irish quiz rankings and select the Irish national team.

We’ll follow this with a fun table quiz (teams will be made up on the day), and all will be finished by 5pm at the latest, to allow people to get home at a reasonable hour.

Tullamore is just off the M6 Dublin-Galway road (junction 5), about 1 hour from the M50, 2 hours from Cork and 1.5 hours from Galway and Limerick, and is also served by Irish Rail and Bus Eireann, so we’re hoping to see quizzers from all over the country join us. See the exact venue location on Google maps.

See the event page on Facebook for further updates on the event, or to contact other quizzers to arrange car-pooling from your part of the country.
