Cheque Clearing - Funds Available

    Hi,

I lodged a cheque into my current account yesterday morning. It is an AIB cheque, so I understand it could talk up to five working days for the funds to become available.

As I have no money available to me at the moment, is there any possibility of the funds being allocated earlier?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,

At the moment the AIB cheque would be uncleared funds in your account. You'll need to contact your branch to see if you can access these funds, there is interest that is applied for accessing uncleared funds. When you contact your branch, they can discuss any charges with you.

I hope this helps and makes sense.

    Thanks
    Linda
