Did people not learn after the bust ? and why did they not learn ?

Who would finance a car they can't afford ? especially 100% finance ?

I can't believe that amount of people are loosing their jobs as the job losses are not nearly as many as they were.

What this leaves me to believe is that if people did not learn with the property collapse it can only happen again ?

Low cost finance like VW are offering I'm sure contributes to that. Often the case where you're as well off financing it even if you have to money to but it outright.

Tragedy

Some of the really good finance deals (especially in the UK) are carrying a negative real interest rate - why wouldn't you take a loan where essentially, you're being paid to borrow and repay the money?
