Shipping with DHL?

Has anyone ever shipped a parcel outside Ireland using DHL?

Their website is close to the most confusing site i've ever used, and i've only managed to come up with express services which come out to be 150e+ for a 4kg parcel to Austria. I'm just looking for standard international shipping, their website only seems to cater for businesses and expensive express shipping.

    Or,

Does anyone know any other decent shipping services, besides ups/fedex?

    Would really appreciate any help,
    Cheers

Can the parcel be broken up? I think it's 11 /12 euro for a parcel to Europe under 2kg. I got stuck paying €57 to France for a parcel that was 2.5kg and after I paid the postage, the fella behind the counter tells me that if I keep it under 2, I'd save a fortune!

Thats a good idea, but, one of items items weigh 3.5kg itself so it wouldn't work out.

how did you go about shipping it?

    cheers

I think there was a girl up in Tyrone that used specialise in such endeavours, but I'm not sure if she is still operating.....
