    Hi,

Quick question. I have to bring medication with me travelling and wondering what I need to do. I know for Australia I should be fine with a doctors letter, just wondering what the procedure is for Thailand.

Depends on the medication but as a rule you dont need a script for anything in a pharmacy in thailand.

IF you need something like valium(for example) it'd be as well to have a script with you as i know of a guy who was busted by the cops for having a valium tab in his pocket...this was in spite of the fact that it could be bought legally in a chemist without prescription.

In saying that he did have dredds and it was more the policeman looking for dope so he could squeeze some money out of him than anything else.

    Hi guys,

Just looking for a bit more advice on this regarding Australia. Got a prescription for 6 months off my doc and have another one for 3 months from the hospital. I have some tablets at home too that I haven't used, so all in all will have about 8/9 months of tablets with me. Will this cause problems? I know they say once it's 3 months should be okay. But I have the two prescriptions and a letter regarding my condition from the hospital stating i'm on this medication. Could I be fined or would they simply just take the excess off me if they didn't want me bringing all this through.

for Oz you will need a prescription, in Thailand they most likely wont even bother to check
