I am looking for travel insurance for South East Asia; (Thailand, Cambodia , Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia) and Australia. I have an Irish passport but for the last twenty months i have lived in the UK. I have just moved back to Ireland for three weeks before i head off on my travels. However a number of Irish travel insurance company policies, require me to have been resident in Ireland 6 months before i start my travel insurance. Does this mean i need to take out English travel insurance? I have found that English travel insurance require me to live in the uk on return of my travels.
