    The Berkley is an "Engineered door -GUARANTEED NOT WARP SHRINK OR TWIST" while the Colonial is probably solid pine, its not engineered so it might warp, shrink or twist over time.

    Engineered doors are usually veneered with oak, beech or pine. Therefore if you "chip" the door and break off the veneer you will see the cheaper timber below. Its next to impossible to fix or repair a chip to the veneer, so you might end up replacing the door.

    Its down to personal taste & budget at the end of the day. Hope this helps.
