Converting 2 bathroom's into 1 large one?

I'm living in a lovely boom era house, the bathroom upstairs and en suite are very small, but they back onto each other, basically what I'm thinking of doing is taking down the dividing wall and making it into one large bathroom, it would still only measure approx 3m x 5m when the divide is removed, has anybody done this and any advice regarding must do's and dont's?
Will this affect the value if we ever decide to sell?

At present our en suite has a toilet, hand basin and shower, the bathroom has a small (useless) corner bath, toilet and hand basin, the plan would be to fit a long standard bath, separate electric shower, toilet and vanity unit with hand basin, we would keep both access door's from landing and our bedroom

    Thanks for any help

Won't it cause a little complication when you are having a bath, if you have 2 access doors. You will have to lock both doors or whistle loudly while bathing. I would remove one of the doors, the likely one being the one from t he bedroom and use the bathroom as your general bathroom of the house. Unless of course you have another bathroom that you can use for other people then block up the landing door.
