Hi I'm a bit pale, even with foundation. I'd really like suggestions as to how I could add a warmer tone to my face . I've dyed red hair which obviously varies intensity as is very fade prone.8emn.th.jpg
    Thanks

You could try a golden highlighter used with a very light hand to add some warmth and glow above the cheekbones. Also, a light bronzer could be good too. Again, a very light application!

    Hi OP,

Sometimes when I feel like my complexion needs to be warmed up I use this bronzer from Clarins. It gives a beautiful warmth but doesn't look like you are wearing bronzer/powder, I got it in the colour '00 morning sun', in Bobbi Brown and No.7 foundations I use the colour 'warm ivory', if that is of any use.

I can't find this bronzer in any stores so always have to buy online, I think I paid about €30 for my current one, and I have it about two years now so it lasts ages. I can't remember where I got it, I do remember it came from the UK though.

As Twee said though, you need to apply it lightly so you don't end up caked in it.

I got a Mac Strobe, on advice of a p.m. I really like it and it does add the sheen I had wanted. Is there a less expensive version of this in Boots or somewhere like that which I could consider in the future though?.

Yeah, the NYC one is very similar. Boots don't do it but a lot of independent pharmacies and some Penneys do.

I'd recommend picking up a nice blusher, something like NARS Orgmasm which is a lovely shade for pale skin and then add a bit of highlighter to create some warmth and depth. Catrice do an amazing highlighter called Fairy Dust (I think, possibly Pixy Dust?) and it's only €4.99.

MAC also do some fantastic Mineralized Skin Finishes. Revlon skinlights are also lovely and great value for money.

Thanks, appreciated ,and in relation to hair, one month on and the red has faded considerably, more so in some places than others. Does anyone know if there is shampoo for red hair? or any colour boosters that I could use when I wash?.
    Thanks

I have probably the same colour skin as you OP!
Embrace the pale colour.. get a bronzer without shimmer.
Laura Mercier in Dune is great, use a big brush and add gradually.

Or I really adore Chanel's healthy powder.. It's expensive but for me, so so worth it!

Both products are available in BT'S so if I was you I'd go in and try them.

Laura Mercier bronzer is around €36 and Chanel is €48 (I think)

If you're looking for a glow, like a healthy glow.. Clarins beauty flash balm is great.

I had the worst sleep last night and looked like death before I put it on.. Look pretty fresh, even now.. eight hours after application!

for your hair try the revlon colour bombs they are good for adding richness to fading colour

for your face how about one of the bobbi brown shimmer bricks they give a nice glow without being too dark.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that Illamasqua's Gleam in Aurora is a gorgeous cream based highlighter, just stunning on pale skin! :)

A couple of options for your hair...
Crazy colour in "fire", can be messy to apply, but a very RED tone, washes out gradually but you'd need to do it fortnightly for a vivid colour.
Fudge paintbox in "red corvette", I find this easier to apply, less "runny" and a more pigmented colour, with a lovely shine, again washes out 4-6 washes.
Jeans colour, not sure of the shade name, but a bit more long lasting. I havent' used this myself but its highly rated.
All these products are in Terrysales, I was only there yesterday in Pavillions, and they're available to non hairdressers. I stocked up :)

Then there are plenty of shampoos/conditioners on the market for coloured hair, but I find the L'Oreal elvive to be as good as any, especially their new 60 second instant conditioner(currently a 3 for 2 on all Elvive products in boots). Really lifted the colour and gives a lovely healthy shine.
    Happy hair do!

Thanks, a friend suggested a red henna? anyone know where I could get that? she said an Arabic shop, but I don't know any Arabic shops here.....

I have bought henna from an ebay seller. It was a liquid one which was great as the powder can be really messy.

I used to dip dye my hair and found that the crazy colours are very good and dont fade too fast I used to top mine up every week or two. 'Fire' is a fabulous red red!

The XXL shades are not bad either and as far as I know they dont fade

jeans colour - I tried it and hated it. I just couldnt not get it to stay in my hair at all so I switched to crazy colour and found i'd get a week at least. On saying that I did find some crazy colours last better than others - fire is very good as is cyclamen where as the pinkissimo one didnt last as long for me
