Of course. There's probably thousands of guys who have done exactly the same thing. I'm not suggesting its moral but that's the world we live in. It's set up in a way that allow people to profit from situations like this

I was outside the Dáil the night the bank guarantee was being voted on protesting. Not too many others there with me.

Bit late to be crying into your beer now frankly.

Indeed. But how did you know exactly what was going on in there at the time?

Or are they simply playing the system for their own benefit?

Well, they were underwriting private investments with taxpayers money, how could that possibly end well?

The banks should have been left to fail and that money could have been used in stimulus loans to sustainable Irish businesses left without functioning accounts.

Dogs on the street stuff I would say...

It hasn't. What I mean is that you couldn't possibly have known the extent of the guarantee

    Doesn't matter.

Thanks for making me aware of this. I'm a little surprised and disappointed at the apathetic reaction to it.

I think the quote at the end of the video is worth noting:
“I am opposing a social order in which it is possible for one man who does absolutely nothing that is useful to amass a fortune of hundreds of millions of dollars, while millions of men and women who work all the days of their lives secure barely enough for a wretched existence.”
    Eugene Victor Debs (November 5, 1855 – October 20, 1926)
American union leader, one of the founding members of the Industrial Workers of the World, and several times the candidate of the Socialist Party of America for President of the United States.
