how is it even possible to get a whole computer (with quite powerful specs) for 63€ delivered?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 714 ✭✭✭jma

That's obviously a mistake. I highly doubt the seller will honour any transactions at that price. The same item on Amazon.co.uk costs about £680.

100 Euro delivery to either UK or Ireland.

If you use Google Chrome it will translate the pages for you.

Sure give it a try. You're covered under the Amazon A-Z Guarantee for any purchases made on Amazon. Basically means you're covered up to a value of $2,500 USD. Not sure what the EUR equivalent is.

    99.98€ shipping to Ireland, it's 49,99€ delivery to Spain, that's why the OP says 63€ (12,29 + 49,99 = ~63€).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 362 ✭✭RoverZT

Ordered one, 112.27 in total, 2 weeks shipping though:D

    It's actually a 4.4ghz FX8350, Nvidia GTX 650.

    Good little setup.

No chance of it being shipped though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 714 ✭✭✭jma

I gave it a go as well. I'd kick myself if you all had your orders fulfilled :)

Yup- expired- and if you did order it- zero chance of it being honoured. Its probably 7-800 Euro worth of a machine- its not the most expensive computer you could buy- even from this seller- but its a very decent, competent machine. Anyhow- snowballs chance in hell of anyone getting one.

    No disponible por el momento.

Good luck to those who ordered. Unlikely to work out.

Has anyone ever received any of the obviously mis-priced items that appear on this forum?

Can't see the point of these threads, tbh.

We all got these drawstring bags from Littlewoods for €0.13 delivered each, thanks to this thread.

And BBC News reported "United Airlines to honour tickets issued for $0 in glitch" just last week, but we didn't have a thread for that.

Not as obvious as 90% off, but there has been a couple. Most recent that comes to mind is the printer from Amazon Spain, it was marked down to €100, But was supposed to be up around the €200 for it's sale price.
The emailed saying it was a misprice, but they honoured it anyway.

Doubt anyone will be getting the hug misprices, especially now that marketers have cottoned on to (in a lot of cases) purposely doing it, to attract attention.

I don't think that's the case here, seems like a genuine misprice maybe. It has been removed from all amazon sites.

HI guys I ordered yesterday as well after spotting this thread, fingers crossed - my DS (12) has been saving his money for the last year to buy a gaming pc, I'm not holding my breath but hoping it works. Rang Tesco credit card and they confirmed payment has gone through.

The official Boards.ie Bargain Alerts explanation (which I think should really be in the Charter & Resources thread):
Just because the money is no longer in your available balance in your account doesn't mean that they have charged you. The money has probably just been put on hold.

And even if they did charge you, there's absolutely nothing you can do to force them to give you the product if they decide they want to give you a refund instead.

When you hear someone use phrases like "invitation to treat", they're probably just a sore loser with no iPhone.

See the €50 iPhone thread for more information.

    Good Afternoon,

Unfortunately, due to a technical problem, the item which you have purchased from us was priced incorrectly and we have had to cancel your order and issue you with a full refund.

We apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused you but we hope you understand that mistakes can happen and as soon as we noticed the error, we removed the item from sale.

We will however be making our gaming PCs available again for purchase in the next couple of days and by way of compensation for your trouble, we are happy to offer you a free game voucher if you wanted to order the PC again at the correct price.

If you wish to do this, please message us through Amazon once you have paid for your new order and we will make sure the free game is added to it.

We hope that this shows you how sorry we are for the mistake and we also hope that you still consider buying one of our award winning gaming PCs again soon.

Thank you very much for your understanding on this matter.

    Vibox

I wouldn't buy this at full price anyway. Turns out I'll be building my own 16GB system this week, which will be a lot better than this one. Have been collecting the parts for the past couple months. Last things to arrive are the case and motherboard :D
