So in my school the boarder boys aint aloud phones but the girls do for some reason,If caught with a phone it can be taken off you for months at a time depending on whether the headmaster likes your or not...I have gotten away with it for a year but its getting annoying constantly hinding it and nearly getting caught... If caught there no way im giving it up no matter what.

Another bullshi!t rule by my school can they give the girls phones and not the boys and can they take it off you.

Contact Ruari Quinn, he must be told about this immediately.

He will know what to do...

No idea, and no idea why you are asking here. What do your parents say about the situation?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,995 ✭✭✭Sofiztikated

Spend a little more time on your spelling, grammar, sentence construction, and punctuation and less time pricking about with your phone, and you'll be grand.

You be more concerned about how to get in to the girls dorm than worrying about your bleedin' phone

The reason you aren't allowed phones is because you keep trying to take pics of the girls in the showers while they're in the nip.
You're a very, very naughty boy!

I was in boarding school and yeah, there's a load of sh1t rules.

You either put up and shut up.. or become a day pupil (what I did). :D

Write a letter to the united nations.

Edit - I was also in boarding school. **** rules are part of how it goes. Roll with the punches.

    And?

I said to spend more time working on it. Ignoring it doesn't improve it.

My wife has dyslexia, doesn't stop her from using the spacebar, or inserting line breaks.

We can keep our phones if we take out the sim for music and would still have the camera... plus girls dorms are on the other side of the school

    POINT INVALID!!!!

So your house master or whatever just confiscates lets say, 30 sim cards?

    No, it's not.

But it makes it easier to read, to get your point across, and practice is everything, especially if you have dyslexia.

Have you asked the principal why they're confiscated off the boys and not the girls?

No mobiles? Its like something from Dickens time.

As is the fact boarding schools still exist, incidentally. With the amount of nonces who have installed themselves in house master positions down the years you would think parents would know better.

He collectes them at the start of the week and gives them back when you go home so some people might not have a phone for 3 weeks,More about 80 from 1st to 6th year

What were his invalid points? I know teenager logic is completely infallible  but maybe for perspective why not tell us what was said?

It's to stop boys doing what boys do when looking at their phones at night.
    I'll bet.

All the way over to the other side of the school...... My apologies, I didn't realise the hardship you would have to overcome for a little female 'conversation'.

Call joe duffy. He likes to investigate serious matters such as inequality in your case( he puts anything on that sh1tty ratchet show).

Or you could just get a second phone so in case you get caught. Hand them a sh1tty €20 nokia

All joking apart, if the OP's post is true, it does seem a bit unfair. The school would have taken its direction from the parents re the phones (in loco parentis and all that), but to ban the phones from one gender and not the other is a bit suss.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 165 ✭✭LifeSaabItch

@ OP: You say your aloud have your phone for music/porn, But only without a sim so you can't call/text?

That's easy, Apply online to o2 (That's if they still do free sims) and get a free simcard. Then just hand up that simcard if caught? While keeping your own proper simcard in the phone. (Switch to airplane mode etc.. if you need to make the reception bars go away to make it look legit.

Agreed. It's actually discrimination on the basis of gender. Sexism. Were it the other way round I'm sure it would have been to Court by now.

I've found that, in life, following discriminatory rules is a guaranteed way to getting your ass handed to you on a plate. You should just break the rule ( but try not to get caught).
