Going to U.C.D. for the year. My PS3 is broken in that it wont read discs. Took it into GSM Solutions on Abbey Street. They said it's the laser. They said it would take 15 working days and cost 95 yoyos. I was shocked by this. Does anybody know anywhere in Dublin, preferably the city that would be quicker or cheaper, I need GTAV a.s.a.p. Thanks.

I got mine fixed at a place out in Bray before for the exact same problem and it also cost €90, so seems to be the going rate. Can't remember how long it took.

I fixed my laser myself if you are any way technical. Was quite easy with YouTube videos etc

Yeah, id say I could do it myself. How difficult would it be?

Why not sell it for €10 or €20 on adverts. Save yourself €95, earn €10, save yourself the hassle. And buy the GTA console bundle on amazon?

These things are gonna be more difficult than you think to fix, unless you have lots of experience fixing electronics!

Thats a terrible idea, so spend 300 euro instead of 95. Where's the logic in that? Where's a student gonna pull that money from?

Doesnt cost 300. Costs 200 sterling so about €240.

Youll have to buy GTA (€40) ..so think of it as €200..dont spend €95 on repair. .so now its €105 extra. .sell your broken ps3 for maybe a tenner or twenty. .now its €85 or €95 extra..youve saved yourself time and hassle..you have a brand new system and probably an extra contoller.

Not such a terrible idea and it's an option!

But if you think you can fix it yourself go for it. .would be a rewarding experience either way!

If I had an extra 100 I might but with college and PS4 I just can't. Taking my PS3 back to GSM now.
