My Pure Bred Limousin heifer was bulled by a youngish bull that broke in from next door. I was all set to AI in the morning and when I went herding late in the evening he had broken in. He's only a cross bred commercial.
What is the best thing to do now?
I was going to wait 3 weeks and she if she comes bulling again. If so , then grand. If not when can I inject her with estrumate? How long after can I expect her to come bulling again.
Wouldnt mind, but never had a bull break in before to cows bulling. It had to be the PB. She was only calved about 6 weeks too.

if not bulling after the 3 weeks inject her into muscle, its 10 euros a shot from our vets anyway, she should come bulling within a couple of days.

there's a length of time you have to wait before injecting, if the op waits for her 3 weeks he will know if she is in calf or not if she has a heat or not

I have seen heifers that went in calf come on heat 3 weeks later, not very often but it happens. I had a dairy heifer come on heat once a week as she was springing to calve  I also had a cow incalf to friesian ai and an angus bull running with the herd, when she calved she had a friesian calf and I reckoned there was another calf there, it was an angus bull calf 3 weeks premature. I wonder if I left him there would she have calved again 3 weeks later.

ye have seen that happen too, but the point i was trying to make was that a shot of estrumate would be wasted at this stage
