Things that make you go meh.

Some topics are permanent fuss-buttons in AH: there's Madeleine McCann: Who Is To Blame? (again) and How To Protest - Anger or Alternative? (again). And all the poor little opinions get hoarse from being dragged out of the last thread on the matter and shouted at each other. Don't they deserve a break sometimes?

Today I have a cold. Lemsip is giving me a nice fuzzy glow, and the opinions are just softly kerfuffling. I realise I don't have an opinion about Miley Cyrus twerking, I don't care what Michael Le Vell did or didn't actually do, and as for that American pastor arrested for planning to burn the Koran - I'm as riled as a snoring kitten.

What is it you don't care about?

Pretty much everything is "meh" these days. Music is the same as it's been for 20 years, films have more or less completely lost there way.

The main problem I have with modern consumer culture is that everythings just a money spinning racket. Everything. There's little substance to things these days.

My latest bug bear is Snapchat. The only thing I see it as is a platform for people to make holy shows of themselves. I don't use it myself, but have seen enough photos from friends, on facebook etc. that suggests to me that it's almost glorifying young wans acting like sluts.

The thing is, I don't know what purpose it actually serves, especially considering it's just as easy to use Whatapp etc. to send photos.

but if it's a bug bear, that means you care.

(^and that rhymes, which means it's true.)

Come to think of it I actually don't care about 97% of the stuff that regularly makes people go apesh!t on t'Internet, but lately the thing I particularly don't give a rattling furk about is this "Gathering" thing. Seriously, I'm not interested, just go away. I'll be over here doing the valve-clearances on my FZR1000.

The last bag of cafetiere coffee (Robert Roberts i think) was medium strength and required 1 dessert spoon per cup. I ended up using two.
So I bought a bag of Bewleys Strong coffee next and guess what Joe. It suggests two spoons per cup and its only as strong as the two spoons of Robert Roberts medium any way
    I should be outraged but.......well........meh...

Well, I used to be quite 'meh' about Lemsip but after reading your first post I'm sending the mrs. out to pick me up a pack. Gonna ask her for the blackcurrant one. And a bj, but that's a story for another thread.

All the television series that people are always talking about. No interest.

People getting worked up over Immigrants, Travellers, Romas, gays etc. Meh.

Probably anything that features on Joe Duffy...meh.

Religion or Atheism...meh! I don't believe in anything but don't give it any thought.

    Dogs and cats. Meh!

    Rugby. Meh.

    What's in fashion. Meh.

Beauty products, make up, beauty talk, articles on beauty. I wear some but don't have an interest in it. Meh!

People getting excited about meat. Meh!

    Shopping. Massive meh!

Australia. I'm sure it's lovely but meh!

    Canada the same. Meh!
