    Hi Shivvy.

I guess the one thing that stood out to me initially is where you guys are currently at. Do you still talk on the phone, text even?

Maybe you need to give him some clear space, no contact and use it as a time to catch up with some of your friends and use them as a support network.

He sounds like he is incredibly stressed, possibly depressed although thats a snap judgement on my behalf so apologies. I just remember my own personal circumstances, being quite fit and lacking the motivation to train or eat right was a clear sign my mental status was not as right as it should have been, I was down, and it sounds like he is too.

Has he family you can talk to?

In my own opinion, you may need to let him go for a while so he can realise what indeed he is missing. If he doesnt come back, then I think you have your answer.

    Regards.

Two weeks ago he told me he needed space, he hasn't been happy and he needs to try and figure out is it us or other factors that are making him feel like this.

If you've been together for ten years and have been happy then you do need to honour his request. If he has asked for space, agree to give him that space but I would definitely set a time limit on it. If you don't, this could transform into a long and protracted break-up with much to'ing and fro'ing and heartache. Give him the space. No phonecalls, no texts or emails. Ask him to do the same. Let him miss you. Let him have what he has asked for and then agree to meet up in a week or ten days. You should both have a clearer idea of what it is you want after some time apart. I know it's hard but I'd respect his wishes for now, whether or not to break up the relationship is obviously a decision he is not willing to take lightly and that is to be commended.
