I was away for a few days and come home to discover there was a powercut and my netgear router possibly on the blink.

The little tick symbol was flashing amber - never a good sign.

The old Eircom router has since been connected and yes the net works again but it is not a good router as the wireless end of it has never worked.

The question is if one were to look to get a new router is there anyone in particular you guys would recommend?

Is the old netgear by the sound of it - gone as a result of the power outage?
