I need to repeat an exam I failed did a few years ago, I have the syllabus but I'm having trouble with the terminology.
I gat take classes again so I m trying to do it on my own.

Here is the first two points under statistics

1 collect data from practical work in other subjects and from publications

2 Determine the range and approximate density of data and use this information to form appropriate groups(equal and unequal)to cover the set of data

Can you clarify exactly what issues you have with the terminology there? Can you give your understanding and we could perhaps give tips based on that?

Just not sure where to collect data from.

Just too explain myself, I attended night classes about 10 years ago in engineering ( city and guilds ). I failed one exam, I have lost my job and want to do the third year but need to pass that exam. I have the syllabus but don't understand whats been asked of me in some areas.
I going to take grinds but want a head start. Any help would be appreciated.

This is the syllabus. Statistics is under engineering fundamentals 2 on page 14.

I don't think you will find out how to do those things until you get case studies from the lecturers. The notes don't really make sense without case studies to work through.

Why dont you email the lecturer. He/she might give the notes if you explain that you just need to pass his/her course to move on.
