$2.60 I want gone

    Back from spending the summer in America and have $2.60 left in my American bank account that I have to get rid of in order to close it. I ..lost...my online banking details and can't get them back unless I go into Bank Of America. Seeing as I am in Ireland, this isn't an option.

    I have looked up American charities but all of them have a minimum donation of at least $5. Beggars, apparently, can be choosers.

    I am allowed close the account by email but nothing else. I need it gone before I build up charges for not have the minimum amount in it ($25). I don't want the account anymore.

    What to do?

    If you've left the US and want to close the account then presumably you are not returning so fugg them just forget about it.

    Why not leave your a/c open .It may come in handy in the future ,you never know .

    Running up a debt (charges on the account) and then returning later to the US to a wrecked credit rating is not the smartest move.
