    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has availed of private medical treatment abroad?
I am just looking for general information regarding how much it costs approx.
I am not really fussy which country it is at this stage, Malta,France or wherever.
I am only looking for general info, I.e. cost per night in a hospital, how much surgeons charge etc.

Apologies in advance if you are not allowed ask, mods can just lock the post or I will delete it.

Nytimes had an article comparing us hospitals to European hospitals recently. A hip replacement I think was $5,000-6,000 in belgium.

Many thanks for that, had never considered Belgium.
Will look into it and see what it's like.

poland would spring to my mind first. they have a very educated, ambitious and highly skilled workforce. and it's cheap, you know they still have their zlotys, not euros.
I know a lot of people who went there to get their teeth done. great professional work for a quarter of the price in Ireland or other EU countries.
