Opel Astra horn stopped working

I have an 07 Astra H and the horn has stopped working. Checked the fuse, it seems fine.

Googled it and it's not the 'horn sounds only when headlights are off' problem, it's completely dead.

Anything else I can do or is this a garage trip? If so, can anyone recommend a decent garage around Tallaght?

The horn went on my Corsa just before the NCT a few years ago, checked the usual and determined the actual horn itself was at fault. The part cost somewhere around €35- 40 from the main dealer and it was easy to fit.

Remove wire attached to horn. Using a test lamp, or voltmeter, connect to horn wire and the other end to a clean earth. When the horn button is pressed you should get a reading, or the test lamp bulb should light. If it lights you need to get a new horn. If it doesn't light you have a wiring problem.
If you don't have a test lamp or voltmeter, you could try the old mechanics way of getting someone to press the horn button while you quickly touch the horn wire off a clean earth, it should spark. (Not advisable). (Wouldn't be approved by health & safety).
