270 CDI Black Death

    :( Hi
    I have a 04 CLK270CDI that is suffering from leaking injector seal's, know I believe as the black death, due to the tar that builds up on the top of the engine. There are specalists in the UK that come to your home to resolve this, does anybody know anyone in Eire that deals with it ?

    Its a common problem on these engines and that engine is used in a few different vehicles most garages would be able to sort it.
    The washer at injector leaks and the injector fuses its self to the head. Making it very difficult to remove.

    You need to give location for someone to recommend a garage.

    I wouldn't recommend using a mobile mechanic as most good mechanics would have workshops.

    I read a good write up by George on injectors if I'm not mistaken. I've never used him myself but plenty have on here and all good reviews.

    The injector write up was by Nissan Doctor actually.

    Depending on how bad the carbon buildup is, the car may have to go to a diesel injection specialist to get sorted.
