Cycling Leinster AGM

    The Cycling Leinster AGM will take place on Tues Sept 24th at 8pm in the West County Hotel Chapelizod,Dublin.A list of the positions for election on the night are Chairman,Commissaire rep,Selector,leisure rep,coaching rep,etc.Nominations and motions to shelllawless@googlemail.com before 16th Sept.It is already proposed to raise entry fees in Leinster for road races to i think e12 for 2014.Hope to see a few souls there on the night.

    Planning on calling out, when will the list of motions sent in be available to read, is it on the night or will clubs get a chance to view them.

    Has anyone here sent in motions?

    The closing date for motions is 16th.Im sure any motions received can be snt to club secretaries in the days after.

    Thanks to all who showed up last night.Yes it was a huge improvement on previous years
    Main Points agreed
    The entry fee for single day road races in the province increased.
    Promoters can now charge up to a maximum of e15

    Safety car available to all clubs in the province for open events @e25 per day

    Race radios available for use by clubs in the province for FREE,subject to a e200 deposit which will be returned when equipment is returned the way it went out.
    Cycling Leinster will be opposing the proposed mandatory on line entry for races in 2014 at the CI AGM
    Leinster will be setting up a new website early in 2014 which is hoped will be the bible for all things cycling in the province.Proper event times,venues,distances,categories etc.
    And finally hopefully a highly respected coaching rep to come on to the committee.This is being considered by the person in question.Watch this space.
