Bought an Internet radio a month ago and had all the stations.
The past week I can't get newstalk or today fm. I can still get all the others like rte 1 and 2fm so I presume the radio is ok.

Anybody else have this problem or an explanation. Is it just a coincidence that both stations are part of communicorp?

Hi, exact same for me here in UK at the moment. I got one for Xmas and Today FM and Newstalk have dropped out a few times, and they go missing for up to a week! One comes back randomly, followed by the other a day later. No amount of factory resets fixes. Its a shame as its an otherwise great bit of kit. Now I know its not just me I'll contact Roberts and let you know what they say. Cheers

I haven't been able to pick up the Newstalk feed on TuneIn radio lately. Could perhaps be related?

Complain to newstalk they might have a streaming server error at their end and not realise.

    They want more listeners!

I am living in Limerick and have also lost Newstalk on my Roberts radio recently. It is working fine on TuneIn on the iPad though. I have emailed Newstalk about it - await their reply.

Today FM and Newstalk have been working through www.radiofeeds.co.uk/irish.asp
If your Roberts is a Frontier Silicon radio, you can get the streams added to your radio at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/fs
You'll need an account with the Frontier Silicon WiFi radio portal first: http://www.wifiradio-frontier.com/setupapp/fs/asp/AuthLogin/SignIn.asp

Thanks for the advice vinnielo. I just set up the account and all seemed to work fine until I tried to play Newstalk from the Favourites folder (which I had set up online as instructed). Still not working. So I put RTE 1 into the folder to see would it work - and it worked perfectly. Any other ideas?

Oops. Forgot to do the last step - adding it to radiofeeds.co.uk (although it should have worked fine with just wifiradio-frontier according to the Roberts manual). Got it going perfectly now on My Added Stations. Thanks!

Yup, the last step is important, as it brings the up-to-date stream from RadioFeeds to your radio.
    Glad it's working for you.

Thanks very much for this work-around vinnielo (and for the road test AnnHan!) I've a wee bit of Ireland streaming in my UK kitchen again. Mind you after two minutes of Jackie Healy Rae talking to George Hook I switched to BBC, but at least the options there!

Ah, I was having problems streaming Phantom FM too, and it seems they changed their stream URL a bit. It's still wrong on Radiofeeds too, so I'll email them.

FWIW, the right URL for it is now http://communicorp.mp3.miisolutions.net/communicorp/Phantom_high.m3u which seems to become http://vice02.iad.xpc-mii.net:80/communicorp/Phantom_high

Did you load the stream from "My Added Streams"?

My Newstalk and today FM streams returned yesterday- how about ye?

Yes. Just checked Newstalk and it is back! At least if it has a wobble again I will be able to get it through viennielo's solution, which is now set up in My Added Stations. BTW no response from Newstalk yet to my email to them a few days ago.

Just wondering, is there any rights restrictions when listening to Irish radio in the UK via the Internet, the same as there is when listening to BBC radio via the Internet in Ireland ? For example, the live football commentaries on Five Live are blocked out on the Internet ( thank God for VPN's ), are the football commentaries on Today Fm and Newstalk blocked on the Internet in the UK ?
