Return phone to factory settings

I have a note 2, I'm going to be selling it soon. Before I do that I want to make sure I return it to the exact factory settings. I have rooted the phone, I have had multiple ROMs on it, and I want to go right back to the start. So far I have unrooted it and installed the stock ROM (via instructions similar to these: http://theunlockr.com/2013/04/06/how-to-unroot-the-samsung-galaxy-note-2-gt-n7100/)

When I booted up phone it was back to stock (as far as I can tell). However when I plugged it into Kies it says it can't be updated, this is due to unrecognised CSC (it's showing as XXX which isn't for any particular country/region). My understanding is that this should be VDI (Vodafone Ireland), but I don't know how to set this correctly.

Also, I assume I should run something like triangle away to reset the rom counter?

Finally, I want to try to get phone unlocked also, is there anything else I'm missing at this stage? Any help for any of these steps would be greatly appreciated.

Can I ask what the CSC is ?
The reason I am asking is, I installed a rom on mine a while back, and didn't back up my EFS folder/data, and the phone could no longer logon to the mobile network because the imei had changed to a generic number and could not read my SIM card.
I ended up having to ship it off to the Samsung repair centre in Norwich to have it repaired.
